My Apologies To Technology

"The world has shrunk" for some reason I believe that..............................................
People are connected to each other by a vast medium of devices, gadgets, and all the good old fashioned letters have gone out of fashion; still people are in contact with each other even if they are far, far away.
But I do have a complain with this rising surge of technological advancements we have stopped behaving human.
The silliest of the jokes is not wellcommed with a smile but the person standing in front of you just says LMAO?????????????
I mean, how lame is that?????????????????
I don't even know whether my joke was appreciated or what.
People have forgotten simple tasks like smiling at each other, going to meet your relatives on some occasion, meeting your friend just to say "Hello, how are you, dude?", gazing at the rising sun, admiring the stars and moon, all of this can be done at one click of the mouse and magically it appear on your screen (and the irony is I am bitching about this in my blog).
People are turning into emotionless, mindless machines. There is no element of surprise when long lost friends meet each other, no tears of joy when you learn about each others success, no pain when you hear about a sad phase in each others life.
Life has become somewhat sad and pathetic where we just seem to have lost our souls and end up behaving like cyborgs.
And above all I believe it is Murphy's law which adds to the irritation of technology.
We seem to be in constant touch with the people whom we want to interact with the 'least' some thing is soooo damned weird about it 'coz we end up chatting with them daily i guess that's technology etiquette or something like that I just cant seem to get hold of people whom i want to be in touch with.
I mean I love technology but sometimes it just gets on my nerves [:( ]

SALVAGE OR PERISH

Awaiting the soulful songs of the birds I started to stroll down the lane,
the lane, where my childhood I spent, somehow beckons me again.
reliving the days of the broken teeth and scraped knees covered in dirt
the skilled cartwheels over the grass and the feeling that nothing could ever hurt.

The amazing swing of the banyan root, the sweet smell of the weeds,
the lovely flowers and beautiful birds, the buzzing of the bees.
These memories make me run faster, faster than ever before,
wanting to see it again somehow; because to wait longer, I could no more.

Then suddenly my feet drop dead,
the earth beneath my feet cease to exist;
the wind too seemed to mourn the demise,
and I could feel the tears shed by the skies.

The green landscapes are now all gone
with huge concrete it's been replaced.
What had once been my lovely home,
what once had been my peaceful space.

Memories washed in no time to spare
it seems as if no one anymore cares,
cares about my sweet little heaven
heaven with which no beauty compares.

The cruel human has won again,
again and again he seems to win
Conquering every land and heath,
winning over the green land beneath.

Tainted is the soul and sinned is the man,
who cuts down the woods, just because he can.

Listening to the Babel of jarring voices among the victors,
I feel disgusted and disgruntled to be a part of this human race.
Today I can hear the plea of the vanquished I can hear the sullen silence of despair.
What man is doing to nature is, for sure, certainly beyond any repair.
